Walnut Fudge
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (Hershey's)
- 2 bags confectioners sugar (set aside 2 cups from one bag)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk (adjust to achieve the desired consistency)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cups chopped walnuts
Instructions:
- Prepare the Fudge Base:
- In a large pot over low heat, combine milk, vanilla, butter, cocoa powder, and granulated sugar. Stir until fully blended, ensuring the sugar dissolves completely.
- Incorporate Confectioners Sugar:
- Remove the pot from heat and gradually add confectioners sugar, stirring continuously until the mixture achieves a smooth texture. If needed, return to heat to avoid any clumps. Aim for a thick and challenging-to-stir consistency.
- Add the Nutty Element:
- While still on heat, introduce the chopped walnuts to the fudge mixture, making the combination smoother.
- Prepare the Pan:
- Line a regular cake pan with plastic wrap. Transfer the fudge mixture into the pan, spreading it evenly.
- Allow to Cool and Slice:
- Let the fudge cool for approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Once set, slice into individual portions.
- Wrap and Enjoy:
- For added convenience, individually wrap each piece with parchment paper.
Tips:
- Adjust the milk quantity based on your desired fudge consistency.
- Feel free to incorporate extra confectioners sugar if necessary for the ideal texture.
