- 2 tablespoons Flour
- 2 tablespoons Cream Cheese
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- 1 pint Heavy Cream
- 1/2 pint Table Cream
- 1/2 cup Shredded Italian Cheese Blend
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Note: This recipe allows for flexibility in ingredient measurements based on personal preference.
Instructions:
Making the Alfredo Sauce:
- Begin by melting 1/2 cup of butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Incorporate 2 tablespoons of flour into the melted butter to create a roux, which will help thicken the sauce.
- Add 2 tablespoons of cream cheese, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper according to your taste.
- Gradually pour in 1 pint of heavy cream and 1/2 pint of table cream.
- Mix in 1/2 cup of shredded Italian cheese blend and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese. You can enhance the flavor by introducing a small amount of bacon grease to the sauce.
- Stir until the sauce reaches a smooth and creamy consistency, adjusting the seasoning to your preference.
Cooking the Chicken & Spinach:
- For the chicken, use blackened chicken without an overpowering flavor.
- As the chicken cooks, prepare the spinach. Instead of using water, steam it using chicken broth. Slice the cooked chicken and combine it with the spinach and chicken broth, allowing it to simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated.
Assembling & Baking:
- Combine all the prepared components.
- Top the mixture with additional Parmesan and mozzarella cheese. Note that mozzarella cheese melts more smoothly, while Parmesan adds its unique touch.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake it uncovered until the cheese achieves a delightful golden brown color.
