Hawaiian Pineapple Cake Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of salt
1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple (undrained)
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Cream Cheese Frosting:
1/2 cup butter or 1 stick
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
- Set the oven's temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine all the cake ingredients in a bowl
- Put the ingredients in a 9x13-inch pan that has been buttered.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown, at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cream the butter, cream cheese, and vanilla together to make the frosting.
- Add the powdered sugar gradually
- While the cake is still warm, frost it with cream cheese frosting.
- If desired, top with chopped nuts
- Coconut can be garnished, if desired
